Time To Get Beach Ready!!

Time To Get Beach Ready!!

Posted by Claire on 11th Jun 2019

Well, it's coming to that time of year, to start looking for stretchy garments, to frolic in by the pool or on the beach!

The quest to find a top that fits, with a matching bottom - usually in a different size!

Or a one piece, with a body that's not too long or too short...  It's exhausting!

So have you thought of making your own swimwear?

If those photos of me in the garden, haven't put you off, we've got all you need, to get you beach ready!

Now is the time, with this great new Cottesloe pattern, from Megan Nielsen Patterns.

You get a choice of one pieces or bikinis, with variations on the tops and bottoms.  With a well cut pattern, clear instructions & a beginner skill rating, there's no reason not to!

The sizes run from 0 - 20 (Australian Sizing), which has Bust measurements from 32" to 46" and Hip measurements from 34" to 48"

Bearing in mind, swimwear patterns are cut with negative ease, to give a really close fit with stretchy fabrics.  So if you're between sizes, I'd recommend going for the bigger size, unless your fabric is extremely stretchy!

Speaking of fabric, we have these gorgeous co-ordinating swimwear fabrics in stock!

To give your swimwear a longer life, it's recommended to line it, with the same fabric or a plain swimwear lining fabric, which is usually cheaper.

And to keep it all in place, rubber swim elastic doesn't perish in the sunlight or chlorine of the pool.

It also comes in different widths, depending on where it's going.

So what's stopping you?!
