Welcome to our Bunny & Carrot Photo Tutorial!

In addition to the written instructions, here are some photos to help you assemble your Bunny & Carrot.

Cut out the bunny templates (you can glue them to thin card, before cutting for long lasting use!)

Fold the large piece of felt in half & draw round the bunny body & paws, with a pencil.

Draw round & cut out the tummy & ear pieces, in the contrasting colour.

Cut out the felt pieces, by cutting just inside the pencil lines.

Stitch the paw pieces together, using normal sewing thread & leave an opening for stuffing.

Stuff the paws with small amounts of stuffing - this could be made up of your felt off cuts cut into small pieces, stuffing from an old cushion or an old holey sock (clean) cut into small pieces! Pushing them in using your finger or a pencil.

Stitch the ear inners to the ears, tummy pad to the body & tail to the other body, using normal sewing thread & a running stitch.

Lightly draw on the eyes, nose & mouth with a pencil. Stitch on the drawn lines, using the embroidery threads & running or back stitch.

Position the paws on the body & pin or sew in place.

Stitch around the bunny, starting from just below the neck, going towards the head, with normal sewing thread. As you stitch around each ear & foot, insert stuffing using a pencil. Stop 5 cm from where you started sewing, leaving the thread attached.

Put small amounts of stuffing into the bunny, until you’re happy with it’s shape.  Finish sewing the bunny closed.

And now you have your very own Felt Bunny!

Carrot

Cut out your carrot & leaf templates (you can glue them to thin card, before cutting for long lasting use!)

Fold the felt pieces & cut out the carrot & leaf shapes, in the orange & green felt.

Stitch the leaf pieces together, using normal sewing thread & running stitch.

Lay the leaf piece, between the carrot pieces & stitch through all the layers. Continue to stitch round the carrot, stopping 5 cm from where you started sewing, leaving the thread attached.

Stuff the carrot, using a pencil to push the stuffing to the end & then finish sewing the carrot.

And now your Bunny has a Carrot!!

In case your bunny feels the cold or is a bit shy, why not make some bunny clothes next...!
